The mobile operator lifecell is set to increase its rates.

The third largest mobile operator in Ukraine, lifecell, plans to increase its tariff prices in February 2025.

In an interview with Forbes Ukraine stated CEO of DVL (“Datagroup,” “Volia,” and lifecell) Mykhailo Shelemba.

According to him, the reason for the price hike is the rising cost of electricity.

“All operators have felt the increase in electricity prices. Over the past year, it has nearly doubled. This year, we are budgeting 2.3 billion UAH for this,” emphasized Shelemba.

“The last price increase for existing subscribers occurred almost a year and a half ago, and it was only for 15% of the base,” said the CEO of DVL.

Shelemba also noted that the price review will not affect new customers who transferred their number to lifecell since December. They had the opportunity to lock in their tariff price until the end of the year.
