National Guardsmen repelled an assault by the Russian Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region and captured several enemy fighters. This was reported on October 14 by the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Alexander Pivnenko, who published a video of the battle.
"The enemy has lost equipment and an enhanced infantry platoon, and several occupiers have been captured to replenish our exchange fund," he noted.
The events unfolded in the Kharkiv direction. The invaders attempted once again to storm Ukrainian positions by sending small groups. However, the fighters from the "Spartan" brigade did not allow the plan to be executed.
The occupiers were detected during their movement by Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance. The response was swift — the Russian Armed Forces attacked with strike drones and drops from UAVs.
"As a result of precise operations, the Russian assault was halted. The enemy lost equipment, including BMPs, and an infantry platoon," emphasized Pivnenko.
It is worth noting that an infantry platoon consists of 30–40 fighters.
Recall that Russian propagandist Roman Alekhin stated that the Russian Armed Forces are unable to break through in the Kursk region due to fortifications captured by Ukrainian forces. Previously, the Russians abandoned them without a fight.
Representative of the Naval Forces Dmitry Pletenchuk assessed whether 300 ships, which Russia allegedly involved in its large-scale exercises, pose a threat to Ukraine. According to him, Moscow is "flexing its muscles," but there is a nuance.
