Those not awaiting a summons: the military enlistment office discusses alternatives to mobilization.

Conscription is not the only option for military service; signing a contract is also an alternative to mobilization. During a briefing at the Uzhhorod Press Club, the head of the recruitment and staffing department of the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Sergey Shakhlevych, discussed the advantages of this option, reports Mukachevo.net.

"Signing a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine opens up more opportunities for future servicemen than conscription. In addition to the ability to choose their specialty and the unit they wish to serve in, the state also provides certain social guarantees for the contractor and their family," noted Sergey Shakhlevych.

He added that contract servicemen can select any specialty and even change their specialty if they desire.

"Those who do not wait for a summons can choose the military unit they like. After all, military service by mobilization, which involves state distribution, cannot offer such options. Contractors not only choose stable financial compensation but also receive all necessary provisions," the military official added.

According to him, military contractors should also receive social guarantees. Additionally, they receive payments from local administrations.

It is worth noting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine often become vulnerable to infiltration by Russian agents. Sometimes, during general mobilization, individuals with questionable reputations become military personnel.
