Who advises Senkevich and on what topics: the mayor of Mykolaiv has 3 full-time and 41 part-time advisors (list)
As of October 2024, Mykolaiv's mayor, Oleksandr Senkevich, has 3 full-time advisors and 41 part-time advisors.
This information was provided to "Novosti-N" by the city hall in response to an official inquiry.
The full-time advisors to the mayor include city council member, former deputy head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Serhiy Kartsev, ex-head of the city emergency management department Oleksandr Herasymenko, and former member of the Chornomorsk city council Ivan Smirensky.
These individuals are tasked with advising the mayor as part of their job responsibilities, for which they receive salaries.
In contrast, the part-time advisors provide their counsel to the mayor entirely pro bono, meaning without charge.
The mayor of Mykolaiv receives advice across a wide range of areas: from economics to how to foster patriotic education among youth, and even on waste separation practices. There are advisors focused on tourism, grant acquisition, municipal safety, city restoration, media communication, as well as specific advice related to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), culture, urban planning, education, and more. There is even a dedicated advisor for economic development in the Malaya Korenikha neighborhood.
Among the advisors is a current member of parliament, Oleksandr Haiduk, who serves as a part-time advisor to the mayor on maritime economy and shipping issues. Former city council members Anatoliy Dyumin (advisor on socio-economic issues), Serhiy Zhavoronok (advisor on physical culture and sports), and Yuriy Mostovoy (advisor on cooperation with the AFU) are also part of the advisory team. The former deputy governor and now head of the Mykolaiv Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ihor Katvalyuk, advises the mayor on economic and foreign economic matters.
It is noteworthy that following the onset of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr Senkevich welcomed two additional individuals as part-time advisors. In September 2022, Yuliya Mincheva became an advisor on city restoration issues, and a year later, an order was signed regarding Ivan Belous, who advises the mayor on matters related to trade and entrepreneurship.
