The Cabinet of Ministers has made amendments to the Procedure for conscripting citizens for military service during mobilization and in special periods. A new category of individuals eligible for deferment from conscription has been established.
This was announced by the Cabinet representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
It concerns those who have been deprived of personal freedom due to armed aggression against Ukraine.
It is noted that the right to deferment can be confirmed by an extract from the Unified Register of Persons deprived of liberty due to armed aggression.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that the rules for granting deferments for students and educators in Ukraine have changed. Students of vocational, specialized higher educational institutions, interns, and doctoral candidates will receive a deferment for the entire semester, but no longer than six months (September – February and March – August).
