Russian propagandists may declare a victory in search of "achievements," according to Ukraine's military intelligence (video).

Russian media will inform the public that President Vladimir Putin has "outmaneuvered everyone" and "emerged victorious," explained Ukrainian intelligence representative Andrey Yusov.

Russian propagandists may announce the end of the war in Ukraine without waiting for a statement from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. Russian media outlets are preparing to present the occupied territories as "achievements," which were the objectives of their aggression against Ukrainians. Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, shared insights with "24 Channel" regarding the messages that citizens of the Russian Federation will hear about the war's conclusion.

Russia and the End of the War — Details

Yusov explained that state media in Russia are currently focused on informing the public about the accomplishment of the invasion's goals in Ukraine. The corresponding messages are being voiced by propagandists and so-called analysts, as noted by the GUR representative. It is not even necessary for Vladimir Putin to personally announce victory; Russian media will convey everything and simultaneously affirm the "talents" of the Kremlin's leader.

"These narratives are actively being spread by Russian media at this time: about how the goals of the 'special military operation' are either already achieved or will soon be achieved, and how Putin is clever and has outmaneuvered everyone. This is happening in real-time," he stated.

Propagandists will find something to showcase as a Russian victory, Yusov added. The intelligence officer identified three "achievements" that will be presented to the Russian population. For instance, they may highlight advancements in Ukrainian territory and claim that they have now reached their goals. Alternatively, they might refer to "improvements" in the economy or "development" of the military. According to him, in a totalitarian state, anything can be twisted 180 degrees and presented as a "victory."

"Society is being manipulated. Previously, it was necessary to quickly explain and fabricate the need for the genocidal war and invasion. If necessary, they will be able to claim that everything has come to an end and that the tsar has proven to be very wise once again," was stated in the video.

Additionally, Yusov clarified that the GUR monitors the actions of Russian propaganda and alerts the Ukrainian public about it. Due to these warnings, Russia's plans may change, the intelligence officer specified.

Russian Propaganda about "Victory"

It is worth noting that on February 21, Ukrainian intelligence reported that President Vladimir Putin might announce the end of the war on February 24. At the same time, the Kremlin leader will assure the public that they have "defeated" NATO. The GUR also warned that the influence on the Ukrainian public would continue. Among other things, Ukrainians will be told that they have been "betrayed by the West," that "the US and Russia have made agreements behind Ukraine's back," and that "the government is illegitimate."

On the evening of February 23, a message about Putin's statement was published by up to twenty Telegram channels that call themselves Ukrainian. However, there was a reference to the American TV channel Fox News, which, in reality, did not report anything of the sort.
