President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky listened to the military's report on the situation at the front and announced the appointment of a new head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Sahaidachny.
He reported this on his Telegram channel.
“Military report. Commander Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Barhylevych, Commander of the Ground Forces Drapatiy, Deputy Head of the Office Palis. Situation at the front: Pokrovske direction, Kurakhove area. Frontline needs. Kursk operation. We also discussed some personnel issues,” he wrote.
The President announced that preparations are underway for the appointment of a new head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Sahaidachny. “The Commander and the Ground Forces Commander presented the candidates. Five professional military personnel. All have experience in this war and are well-known in the army,” Zelensky noted.
He suggested that military personnel participate in selecting the new head of the academy. According to the president, a relevant survey will begin in the “Army+” application starting Monday.
“Today, a survey regarding necessary changes in the academy and the selection of the head of the academy starts in ‘Army+’. The survey in ‘Army+’ will run until January 17 inclusive, and based on the voting results, appropriate decisions will be made, and the head of the academy will be appointed,” emphasized the head of state.
