Генерал Драпатий рассказал о мерах, предпринятых для решения проблем в 155-й бригаде «Анна Киевская».

The 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Anna Kyivska" is inviting commanders for various positions, and the brigade commander now has a hotline that soldiers can call with complaints about issues or other inquiries.

This was announced by the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, General Mykhailo Drapaty, in a post on Facebook.

According to him, he thoroughly examined the problems that arose in the brigade and their causes, and he is ready to provide a report on how these issues are being resolved and how to avoid them in the future.

He emphasized that the French side has fully met its obligations to Ukraine. We are very grateful that our partners took risks and jointly implemented this project.

Drapaty identified the main reasons for the problems during the brigade's formation:

- Irresponsible attitude from those in charge

- Inadequate management and oversight of the entire process;

- Mistakes during personnel recruitment,

- Not always well-considered decisions regarding the management of the brigade's personnel;

- Imperfect planning of training both in Ukraine and abroad;

- Delayed reactions from higher command to problems arising during the creation and training process.

He stressed that most of the shortcomings have already been analyzed, and solutions are being implemented regarding them.

"The brigade has been on the front for less than a month. This is the period when all deficiencies in personnel recruitment and training become apparent. When the spirit of the warrior is revealed. I am very grateful to the soldiers who are adapting to challenging conditions and fighting. Despite all difficulties, the brigade has occupied its area, is performing combat tasks, holding positions, and at the same time – working on eliminating mistakes and improving combat readiness," the general wrote.

Currently, the new brigade commander's focus is on recruiting experienced officers and commanders at all levels.

"I am personally addressing this issue. I am ready to consider all candidates; please reach out at this email address: [email protected]" – Drapaty stated.

"By my decision, a special hotline for the Commander of the Ground Forces for servicemen of the 155th brigade will be active starting today. In addition to official daily reports, I want to have direct contact and hear the soldier, understand how our decisions impact their motivation and the real state of affairs. Phone: 0800-500-410 (after listening, press 5). It operates daily from 09:00 to 18:00," the commander indicated.

He also informed that a special group of psychologists is working in the units. There are some results, such as the return of servicemen who had deserted the unit.

"The number of unauthorized absences in the brigade will decrease proportionally to the decisions that will affect the combat readiness and motivation of the personnel," Drapaty believes.

Background. Recall that during a press conference on January 6, the commander acknowledged significant issues in the 155th mechanized brigade "Anna Kyivska," trained by France, particularly a high level of desertion and poor organization.
