“The front has ‘crumbled’ for us,” - General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Marchenko
Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Marchenko discussed the primary reasons behind the failures of the Ukrainian army on the front lines.
He shared this information during an interview with former MP and now blogger Boryslav Bereza.
The Major General confirmed that the Russian army has entered Selidovo and expressed concern that in the future, the Russians might adopt an encirclement tactic to capture the city. It is worth noting that Selidovo is located 20 kilometers from Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
- We all know, and I won’t reveal a military secret by saying that the front has ‘crumbled’ for us. Unfortunately, the orcs have already entered Selidovo, and they are establishing themselves there. I believe that in the near future, they will surround it ‘in a ring’ and seize it completely. This will provide them with a tactical advantage towards Pokrovsk. This is very bad for us, - summarized Marchenko.
Additionally, Dmitry Marchenko outlined three main reasons that have led to the failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front lines.
- But to say why this happened… most likely it is due to a lack of ammunition and weaponry; secondly, it is the personnel – there are no people, no reinforcements. The soldiers are very, very, very tired; they simply can’t ‘hold up’ on the fronts they are on. And thirdly, it is the imbalance in management. What is happening now, I must say, should not be happening at all, - said the general from Mykolaiv.
