A strong magnetic storm has persisted on Earth for a long time, with its intensity occasionally heightened by new coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from the Sun. Astrometeorologists have shared their forecast for when to prepare for new geomagnetic storms throughout this month.
According to data from the Meteoagent website, which compiles its forecast using information from NOAA, TESIS satellite systems, and international scientific meteorological laboratories, we should expect geomagnetic storms rated 4 and 5 during the end of the second decade and the entirety of the third decade of October.
Currently, on October 18, a strong magnetic storm is raging at a level of 5. Over the next two days, October 19 and 20, its intensity will decrease to a yellow level – 4. Following that, there will be a day of geomagnetic calm, but by October 22, the Earth's magnetic field will experience a moderate storm at a level of 4.
The next magnetic storm is anticipated on October 26, and its intensity is not expected to exceed 4.
From October 27 to 31, no fluctuations are forecasted.
Let us remind you that earlier "Telegraph" reported on the expected weather in Ukraine at the end of the workweek. Meteorologists are warning about potential frosts.
