The State Customs Service has begun utilizing AI for the customs clearance of vehicles.

The State Customs Service is implementing artificial intelligence to streamline the customs clearance process for vehicles.

This is reported by the press service of the State Customs.

The section "Importing a passenger car" in the personal account on the "Single Window for International Trade" portal has been updated. Thanks to two enhancements, creating and filling out a customs declaration has become easier. These improvements include:

• recognition of vehicle characteristics via VIN code – simply enter the VIN, and the system will automatically attempt to find the technical data of the vehicle;
• automatic completion of part of the declaration fields based on the photo of the vehicle registration document – for this, you need to upload an image of the document, and the AI will read all possible characteristics of the vehicle contained in the registration document. The system will suggest the remaining data based on the VIN.
