On Wednesday, February 12, a phone exploded at a school in the city of Lutsk, resulting in a student suffering burns on his hands. This was reported by the local publication "Volyn24," citing eyewitnesses.
According to journalists, the device that exploded was a Phone 11 Pro Max in the boy's hands. Due to the explosion, he sustained minor burns to his hands.
"A fire was narrowly averted as a result of the smartphone explosion," the report states.
They added that this is not the first incident involving devices from this company. The publication noted that primary factors leading to explosions may include mechanical damage, battery overheating, manufacturing defects, battery overload, or malfunctioning or counterfeit chargers.
At the time of this report, there were no comments from the Department of Education of the Lutsk City Council, Mayor Igor Polishchuk, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Volyn region, or the National Police of the Volyn region.
Recall that on New Year's Eve in Lutsk, a man in a state of intoxication threatened the employees of the National Police of Ukraine, even striking one officer several times. The man was subsequently detained and taken to the police station.
Later, at the end of January, in Lutsk, TCU employees detained the former deputy head of the Bukovyna customs service, Yury Tereshchuk. In a video published by a journalist, it can be seen that the man is being attempted to be placed in a minibus by individuals in military uniforms. An hour later, the former official allegedly appeared in the comments, where he began to claim that he is actively engaged in volunteer activities.
