Late in the evening on January 21, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv with strike drones. Seven explosions were heard in the city.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region.
As a result, damage and fires occurred at six different locations across two districts of the city.
A mansard floor of a multi-apartment building was partially destroyed, and a fire in an apartment on the 6th floor covering an area of 100 sq. m was extinguished. The shockwave damaged the windows of four multi-apartment buildings and a private residence. Doors of a family clinic were also damaged.
A fire in a reed area covering 1,000 sq. m was extinguished. Doors and windows in a shuttle cooperative were damaged.
A private residence suffered significant damage, leading to a subsequent fire. The fire was extinguished over an area of 10 sq. m.
The windows of the administrative building of a transport enterprise were damaged.
The railway track was damaged, and a vehicle was destroyed; a fire of debris and dry grass covering 100 sq. m was extinguished, along with a small fire of debris at a site.
As a result of the attack, a 74-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. A man sought medical attention due to an acute stress reaction and received first aid, but he declined hospitalization.
All fires have been extinguished.
An emergency psychological assistance point has been set up. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and police were on duty. A total of 45 rescuers and 11 units of emergency service equipment were involved in the operations.
Citizens received assistance from volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Rapid Response Team, ambulance crews, and World Central Kitchen volunteers.
