Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, during his address at the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union on Monday, January 27, emphasized the necessity of strengthening sanctions against Russia.
He noted this in a social media post on X.
“The current sanctions need to be extended, and the 16th package should be adopted soon and be robust. The position of the U.S. on sanctions is clear. The EU must also act decisively,” the statement read.
Sybiha also informed his EU colleagues about the situation on the front lines and the needs of Ukrainian defenders.
“Ukraine and the EU are ready to expand defense cooperation and investments. I am grateful to the EU and its member states for their unwavering and determined support for Ukraine,” the minister emphasized.
