Zaluzhny displayed a photo of the fired cartridges after shooting with a Glock 17 pistol.

"Glock 17. The same 15 meters and two shots," — the ex-general captioned the photo.

Valeriy Zaluzhny's post garnered admiration in the comments.

"I once thought this could only happen in movies, but here are our real and true heroes," — wrote Olga Voronina.

Commenters knowledgeable about firearms asked the former general what type of ammunition he used.

"I have just one question: what kind of cartridge did you use? Because penetration from 15 meters is almost always guaranteed with live ammunition. Otherwise, it's an impressive shot," — wrote Alexander Grom.

In May 2024, just a few days before his dismissal from service, Valeriy Zaluzhny showed a cartridge after shooting with a Glock 17 at a distance of 25 meters.

"There's still gunpowder in the flasks," — the former chief wrote then.

On January 16, Valeriy Zaluzhny met in Kyiv with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who visited Ukraine to sign a "100-Year Partnership" agreement.
