A 15-year-old from Mykolaiv region was involved in coordinating missile and drone strikes for Russia.

The Security Service has apprehended two Russian agents who were coordinating missile and drone strikes by the Russian Federation on southern regions of Ukraine.

This information was reported by the press service of the SBU.

According to the case materials, one of the offenders was a 20-year-old resident of the Odesa region. The occupiers recruited him remotely through a Telegram channel that advertised "easy money."

At that time, the agent was tasked with gathering geolocations of Ukrainian checkpoints, mobile fire groups, and air defense missile systems.

To spy on a larger number of targets simultaneously, the traitor involved his acquaintance, a 15-year-old resident of Voznesensk in the Mykolaiv region, in his subversive activities.

The investigation established that the individuals were walking through the territories of both southern regions and secretly recording the locations of defense forces with their mobile phones.

After reconnaissance outings, the "senior" agent marked the coordinates of potential targets on Google Maps and sent them to his Russian handler via messenger.

SBU employees documented this and detained the suspect from the Odesa region while he was attempting to transfer intelligence data to the enemy.

At the scene, they seized his mobile phone, which he used to communicate with a representative of the Russian special services.

SBU investigators informed the detainee of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law).

There is an ongoing assessment regarding the additional qualification of the agent's crimes under Article 304 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (involvement of minors in criminal activities).

The offender is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with asset confiscation.

Procedural actions are also underway concerning his minor accomplice from the Mykolaiv region.

Comprehensive measures were conducted by SBU employees in the Odesa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
