Night attack by "Shaheds": hits reported and power outages confirmed (updated).

On the night of November 19, the Russian army launched 87 strike drones and unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukraine.

This is reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air defense system operated in 9 regions: Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv. Currently, the downing of 51 drones has been confirmed. Another 30 drones have been location-wise lost, and 1 is still in the air over Ukraine.

Sumy Region

On the evening of November 18, the Russians struck a dormitory in Hlukhiv with a "Shahed." The building has been partially destroyed. As of now, there are reports of 7 fatalities, including an 8-year-old boy. Another 12 residents have been injured, including 2 children. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the site, as there may still be people trapped under the debris.

UPDATED. It has become known that 8 people have died as a result of the attack. It is likely that 5 people are still trapped under the rubble.

UPDATED at 10:23. The body of a person has been retrieved from the ruins of the destroyed dormitory. The death toll has risen to 9. Rescuers continue to search for 4 more residents.

UPDATED at 11:04. The number of fatalities has increased to 10, with 13 injured. Among the injured are 3 children. Search operations are ongoing for 3 more individuals under the rubble.

UPDATED at 12:29. As a result of the Russian attack on the dormitory, 11 people have died so far. The rescue operation continues, with searches ongoing for 2 more individuals under the debris.

Zaporizhzhia

Due to the "Shahed" attack on Zaporizhzhia, over 15,600 consumers have been left without electricity. Restoration work for power supply is ongoing. Almost 2,000 subscribers have been reconnected to electricity, and heating has been restored in 677 homes.

Cherkasy Region

As a result of a drone crash, a power line was damaged in the Cherkasy district. Electricity supply has been restored. Windows and roofs of private houses were damaged, and a fire occurred in a non-residential building.
