The Earth has been under the influence of a magnetic storm for a long time, but it is now beginning to subside. This week will start with minimal solar activity; however, there is a possibility of a moderate storm occurring between October 21-27.
In the past 24 hours, solar activity has been relatively high. During this time, five C-class flares and one M1.7 class flare occurred, as reported on the Meteoprog website.
Such solar flares may only cause a minor level of interference on Earth or a solar radiation storm.
At the same time, the likelihood of a minor geomagnetic storm on October 21 is 5%, while the chance of a major storm is 1%.
According to data from the Meteoagent website, which compiles its forecast using information from NOAA, TESIS satellite systems, and international scientific meteorological laboratories, a moderate magnetic storm rated at 4 is expected this week.
Currently, on October 21, the solar activity on Earth remains low, but by October 22, a moderate geomagnetic storm rated at 4 is anticipated.
After that, from October 23 to 27, no disturbances above 3 are expected.
Let us remind you that previously "Telegraf" reported on the expected weather in Ukraine for October 21.
