Just as the 9-point magnetic storm was coming to an end, a flare occurred on the Sun, and a new coronal mass ejection (CME) is heading towards Earth. Astrophysicists predict that this will lead to a new geomagnetic storm in the coming days.
Minor geomagnetic storms of class G1 are possible on October 15 and 16 due to the CME currently approaching Earth. This information was reported by scientists from the space weather research site Spaceweather.
According to them, the ejection was initiated from the solar spot AR3854 on October 11, and it is expected to deliver only a brief impact.
Meanwhile, as stated on the Meteoagent resource, currently, on October 14, a moderate magnetic storm rated at 4 is raging on Earth. It is expected to last into the next day, October 15. However, by October 16, its intensity will increase to 5.
From October 17 to 20, no disturbances above 4 are forecasted.
Recall that earlier "Telegraph" reported that in some regions of Ukraine, frosts are expected in October. In some areas, temperatures may drop to -3 degrees.
