The Ministry of Internal Affairs has denied the information regarding the detection of three fire centers at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the alleged radiation release that is expected to occur in the near future.
This is reported by the press service of the ministry.
"We inform you that the mentioned information is not true. The operation to eliminate the consequences of the Russian drone attack continues at the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone," emphasized the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that currently, the State Emergency Service only records 3 smoldering spots of roof insulation, which were timely detected using drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras.
"The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center is conducting continuous monitoring of radiation levels, and currently, they remain within normal limits. There is no threat to the population," the statement reads.
