Adverse weather conditions hindered the operations of Russian drones in the Suja area.
Украинские войска продвинулись на 5 км в Курской области, захватив два села, сообщает ISW.

During a new series of assaults in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces advanced up to five kilometers southeast of Suja, reports the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

“Geolocated footage published on February 6 indicates that Ukrainian troops have recently moved southwest of Makhnoivka and to the north and east of Cherkaska Konopelka […] and captured Kolmakov and Fanasiivka,” ISW writes.

According to the Institute, which cites assessments from Russian military bloggers, Ukrainian forces attacked with between 30 to 50 units of armored vehicles.

War correspondents claimed that one Ukrainian group successfully advanced from Makhnoivka towards Cherkaska Konopelka, Fanasiivka, and Ulanok, while another group was repelled by Russian troops as it moved from Dmytriukiv towards Ruska Konopelka.

Additionally, Russian war correspondents reported that in the attack southeast of Suja, adverse weather conditions aided Ukrainian forces by hindering the operations of Russian drones in the area.

On February 6, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that over six months of the Kursk operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured more than 900 Russian soldiers.

It was reported earlier that the commander of the Chechen "Akhmat" claimed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine bypassed his battalion's positions during the new offensive in the Kursk region, which began on February 6. Russian Telegram channels reported that active combat was taking place in villages located 7 km from Suja.
