Русские усовершенствовали северокорейскую ракету KN-23, сообщил Буданов.

The DPRK and Russia are enhancing their military collaboration across various fields, particularly in technology. Russian experts have improved the North Korean missile KN-23.

This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine in an interview with The Chosun.

“This cooperation has reached the highest level and poses a serious threat to the international community,” Budanov said.

He specifically mentioned the KN-23 missile, which North Korea supplied to Russia.

“Initially, its accuracy was very low, with a margin of error ranging from 500 to 1500 meters. However, Russian missile specialists made technical modifications, resolving this issue. Now the missile is significantly more accurate and poses a much greater threat,” the head of the GUR explained.

He believes that such technological advancement could have serious implications for the security of South Korea and Japan, which are within the range of North Korean missiles.

“North Korea is using this war to gain combat experience and modernize its military technologies. This will have long-lasting effects on the security landscape in the Asia-Pacific region,” Budanov added.

Background. Previously, Mind reported that North Korea sent 200 long-range artillery systems to Russia. Seoul suspects that the DPRK is receiving technological assistance from Russia regarding nuclear submarines and ballistic missiles in exchange for military support.
