The situation in Ukraine's energy system remains stable. A drop in temperature and cold weather will not lead to the implementation of power outage schedules.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing "Ukrenergo."
Today, rumors circulated online that Ukraine might face power outages starting in February. The reason given is the expected severe frost and lowering temperatures.
This could allegedly result in a shortage of electricity.
The company stated that the information circulating online is inaccurate.
According to "Ukrenergo," the anticipated drop in temperature will not cause significant issues and will not necessitate the implementation of restriction measures.
"The situation in Ukraine's energy system remains stable. Energy specialists are considering all scenarios, including those for a sudden drop in air temperature," the statement says.
"Ukrenergo" reminded that the only reason for the forced implementation of outages has always been and remains the destruction of energy infrastructure due to Russian missile and drone attacks.
On November 17, over 120 missiles and 90 drones were launched, on November 28, strikes caused damage in 14 regions, and on December 13, Russia attacked with 287 aerial assault means - 94 missiles and 193 drones.
By December 25, Russian occupiers had already carried out 13 mass strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities since the beginning of the year.
It is also worth noting that new power outage rules have been in effect in Ukraine since December 16 of last year.
