Units of the National Guard, border guards, and the National Police are constantly present at the frontline. They are engaged in the evacuation of civilians.
This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, in an interview with RBK-Ukraine.
According to him, some units have been directly involved in the Defense Forces for several months. This includes special units, the "Yarost" brigade, and combined units fighting alongside the National Guard.
"There are thousands of police officers - 10% of all law enforcement. About 10,000 police officers are combatants who are at the front line," Klymenko said.
At the same time, he noted that 25,000 law enforcement officers are permanently stationed in combat zones. They are responsible for evacuating people and working at checkpoints.
"A wide range of activities beyond police duties. 40,000 to 45,000 are constantly present in combat zones and frontline regions. We are talking about border areas, where the State Border Guard Service and police units are located," the minister explained.
He also pointed out that in the National Police, out of 100,000 personnel, 25% are women, and another 17% are individuals who have not reached the mobilization age.
"Now it is easy to calculate the 45,000 I mentioned: 25,000 are women and 17% are those who have not reached mobilization age. This means that almost all of the National Police forces are engaged. More than half of the National Guard is involved in combat tasks, and half of the State Border Guard Service is also engaged," Klymenko emphasized.

It should be noted that earlier, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, stated that if the situation in the country worsens, law enforcement officers will be ready to mobilize.
Additionally, the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ivan Vygovsky, mentioned that in the event of police mobilization, there could be a problem with the criminal situation in the country. Nevertheless, the National Police are prepared for such a decision.
