In Russia's Dagestan, there were reports of an attack on the morning of November 6. Drones were spotted over the city of Kaspiysk.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Astra and the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, on Telegram.
In the morning, videos began to surface online showing a drone flying over Kaspiysk. In the footage, the drone explodes allegedly due to the actions of air defense.
The governor of Dagestan stated that the air defense system had destroyed the drone over Kaspiysk.
"The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated. An operational headquarters is working, and I am in constant contact with the responsible authorities," he wrote.
After the alleged downing of the drone, residents of Kaspiysk reported new explosions on social media.
Russian media also report that the airfield in Makhachkala (the capital of Dagestan) has been closed due to drone attacks.
It is worth noting that Kaspiysk is located on the shore of the Caspian Sea, is a satellite city of Makhachkala, and is close to the international airport. The city has a population of about 100,000 people. Kaspiysk is home to a naval base of the Russian Caspian Flotilla.

We remind you that Ukrainian defenders have carried out dozens of operations against the enemy using drones. The defense forces are attacking military facilities on the territory of Russia and in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
In particular, the Defense Forces are "hunting" for oil refineries and fuel depots supplying the Russian army. For instance, one of the largest oil terminals in Crimea was attacked in Feodosia.
The oil depot supplied fuel to the occupying forces. After the attack, a fire raged at the terminal for nearly a week.
