Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has lost 43,000 military personnel, according to President Zelensky.

Nearly 400,000 injuries have been reported.

During the full-scale invasion, 43,000 Ukrainian defenders have lost their lives on the battlefield. Additionally, there have been 370,000 recorded instances of first aid provided.

This was reported by Volodymyr Zelensky. 

The President clarified that half of the injured return to active duty. All injuries are documented, including minor and recurring ones. Russian losses during the same period exceed 750,000 military personnel – with 198,000 killed and over 550,000 wounded.

“One of the key differences between the Russian army and the Ukrainian Defense Forces is the level of development of frontline medicine, which is significantly higher in our army. We in Ukraine are grateful to everyone who helps develop medicine in our army and saves our wounded, providing rehabilitation,” Zelensky noted.

According to the President, since September of this year, Russia has been losing personnel on the battlefield at a ratio of 5:1 and even 6:1.

There are thousands of people, both military and civilian, in Russian captivity. Some of them have been there since 2014, when the occupation began. Since the onset of the large-scale war, Ukraine has returned 3,935 of its citizens: 3,767 soldiers and 168 civilians.

At least several million people remain in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Furthermore, Russia is systematically abducting Ukrainian children. Zelensky added that there are hundreds of thousands of such children. The Russians are dispersing them throughout their territory. Bringing them back is the most challenging task.

“A ceasefire without guarantees can be reignited at any moment, as Putin has done before. To ensure that there are no more losses among Ukrainians, we must guarantee the reliability of peace and not turn a blind eye to the occupation,” the President stated. He emphasized that Putin can only be stopped by strength – the strength of world leaders. “We rely on America and the entire world to stop Putin. The only thing he fears is America and the unity of the world,” Zelensky added.
