On February 6, 2025, the Energy Customs successfully processed a periodic customs declaration for the movement across the customs border of Ukraine of the first batch of biomethane for export to Europe via pipeline transportation.

It is noted that over the past two years, work has been carried out with the participation of Ukrainian MPs, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the State Customs Service, the Energy Customs, the gas transportation system operator, the gas storage operator, experts, civil society, and biomethane producers to amend Ukrainian legislation related to customs control and customs clearance of biomethane.
