Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will focus on issues related to fiscal and monetary policy, debt sustainability, and governance reforms.
IMF Communications Department Director Julia Kozak shared this information in the context of the upcoming seventh review of the EFF program for Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Regarding the next mission – technical work on the upcoming review is currently underway. The dates for the mission's visit are being clarified, and once we have them, we will definitely inform you,” noted the fund's representative.
She also specified that during the seventh review, the IMF mission will focus on discussions with the government regarding “fiscal policy issues, including progress in revenue mobilization, monetary policy for 2025, as well as progress in ensuring debt sustainability and fiscal resilience.”
Furthermore, according to her, mission representatives will review governance reforms, “which remain a key pillar of the EFF program.”
If a positive decision is made regarding the seventh review, Ukraine could gain access to approximately $900 million under the fund's program, Kozak reminded.
