In November, a United Nations Security Council meeting will take place to mark 1000 days of the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. This was announced by the United Kingdom, which is leading the Council this month.

British Permanent Representative to the UN, Barbara Woodward, made the statement, as reported by RBK-Ukraine at a press conference in New York.

The meeting is scheduled for the afternoon of November 18 and will be chaired by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy.

Woodward presented the Security Council's agenda for November and noted that the priority issues will be related to "the three largest conflicts in the world": the consequences and risks of the war in the Middle East, Russia's violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the conflict in Sudan.

According to the diplomat, Britain will use its presidency in the UN Security Council "to expose Russian disinformation and their crimes."

Woodward also mentioned that the Russian delegation blocked the approval of the Security Council's agenda for November specifically due to the planned discussion of the Ukrainian issue. However, she noted that this would not prevent the Council from holding a meeting outside the schedule at the request of member states.

Chaos in the World - a Result of Russia's Actions

The UK representative to the UN emphasized that London will continue to support Ukraine's struggle for its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the principles of the UN Charter. She stated that the international community will not rest, as Putin will not stop in Ukraine.

The UK representative at the UN highlighted the "level of chaos" and the "number of conflicts" worldwide related to Russia.

"Russia does not deny that it is making agreements with Pyongyang to use North Korean troops as cannon fodder for its war," she noted.

Additionally, she pointed out that Russia is also purchasing drones and munitions from Iran, as well as financing terrorism support in the Middle East. According to her, Iran and North Korea demand a high price from Moscow for their support. She added that Russia has few options left to meet the demands of its partners.

Woodward emphasized that Moscow is involved in most conflicts around the world.

North Korea's Military Participation in the War in Ukraine

North Korea has reached an agreement with Russia for the participation of its military in the war against Ukraine.

According to the United States, there are already 8,000 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region.

Ukrainian intelligence does not rule out that by the end of the year Pyongyang and Russia plan to deploy up to 12,000 North Korean troops. They will participate in the fighting in the Kursk region.

On October 30, a UN Security Council meeting was held due to the deployment of North Korean military to the front lines, initiated by Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Russian representative called the information about the deployment of North Korean soldiers "disinformation."
