Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad has fled to Moscow.
This is reported by Radio Free Europe citing Kremlin media.
It is noted that the ousted president of Syria arrived in Moscow with his family – his wife and three children. They were granted asylum "for humanitarian reasons."
Meanwhile, the Syrian embassy in Moscow has removed the flag and the plaque bearing the name of the diplomatic mission. The publication adds that the Syrian rebels, who have taken control of the country, are using a modified version of the Syrian flag.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the disappearance of Bashar al-Assad's plane from radar is Russian disinformation. This was a way for Russia to "cover up" the operation to rescue the Syrian dictator.
