Air defense forces shot down 20 Russian aerial targets overnight.

On the night of December 9, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine using missiles and drones. In total, the Russians deployed 2 missiles and 37 drones of various types.

The air defense system operated in 9 regions: Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Ternopil, and Odesa.

As of 8:00 AM, there is confirmation of the destruction of 2 guided air missiles X-59/69 and 18 drones. An additional 18 drones have been reported lost location-wise, while the last one is still in the airspace of Ukraine and is currently being engaged.
