There is a possibility that Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin may reach a certain "agreement" without considering the interests of both Ukraine and Europe, as indicated by historical experience.
This was stated in an interview with RBK-Ukraine by Romanian Deputy Julian Bulai, head of the political group (faction) "Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe" (ALDE) in PACE.
"As a Romanian, I can say that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is not something forgotten in Romania. This precedent shows that we should never rule out any type of dialogue that may occur," he noted.
The deputy also emphasized that he is currently trying "not to worry without sufficient grounds."
"But I would like us not to exclude any scenario that we may not have control over right now," Bulai added.
Recall: U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed a desire to reach a certain agreement with Putin. The details of his plan remain unknown; however, statements from his team suggest the necessity of concessions from Ukraine in front of the aggressor.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Zelensky confirmed he is ready for negotiations with Putin. Partners believe that diplomacy is impossible without the Russian dictator. "If we have an understanding of how this war will end, we are ready for diplomacy," the president said.
