NaVi has been eliminated from the Major after losing to a team that included a Russian player.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 – the main tournament of the half-year for Counter-Strike 2 – has reached its decisive stage, but unfortunately, there will be no Ukrainian teams in the playoffs.

Natus Vincere faced off against the Norwegian club Heroic in a crucial match and were defeated across three maps.

It’s noteworthy that both teams won the maps they chose with incredible ease. NaVi was decisively defeated on Mirage (3:13), and then they lost on Nuke nearly as effortlessly (13:5).

On the third map, however, the game was much more balanced, although "born to win" struggled to secure their rounds. After the score reached 9:9, Andrii "B1ad3" Horodenskyi's team lost four rounds in a row and ultimately exited the tournament.

It’s worth noting that another Ukrainian team, Passion UA, found themselves in a very similar situation in the first stage of the tournament, reaching the final round of the stage before losing and being eliminated.

Background. The day before, NaVi had virtually no issues against GamerLegion, which allowed them to compete in today’s match.
