During an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau was killed. He was responsible for relations with other groups in the enclave.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the Israeli army.
According to the IDF, Hamas Political Bureau member Izz ad-Din Kassab was killed in an airstrike in the vicinity of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army refers to Kassab as "one of the last high-ranking members of the Hamas Political Bureau who remained alive in the Gaza Strip."
He led the national relations department and, according to Israeli military sources, had the authority to make military decisions, particularly regarding terrorist attacks against Israel.
It is worth noting that recently Israeli forces eliminated Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. He is a notorious terrorist suspected of orchestrating the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
